Ron Raffaelli was born in Hollywood California in 1943 and graduated first in his class in 1967 from the prestigious Art Center School of Design.

He opened Raffaelli Studios on the famous Melrose Avenue where he began producing album covers and publicity photos for MGM and Warner Brothers. Ron was a Conceptual Photographer with his own sophisticated Dark Room where his work was created and produced long before the Age of Computers.

Around August of 1968, thirty-six hopeful photographers presented their portfolios to Jimi Hendrix and Ron was chosen as his personal photographer. Jimi gave Ron total creative control which allowed Ron to create and produce the first concept of a “Tour Book” called Jimi Hendrix Electric Church, A Visual Experience.

Ron went on to shoot some of the most important groups and artists of The Classic Rock Era including Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Jim Morrison and The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Credence Clearwater Revival, Eric Burton and War, Sly and The Family Stone, Grace Slick and Jefferson Airplane, and dozens more. He produced approximately 40 Rock Posters, 45 Album Covers and Numerous Tour Books, which were sold at concerts and merchandised world wide.
