Marilyn Monroe, Rodeo, Bus Stop, 1956
Marilyn Monroe Productions began filming Bus Stop in March of 1956, her and Milton's first film together. Her co-star, Don Murray, made his auspicious on-screen debut as Marilyn's leading man in the film, beating out established stars and earning himself an Oscar nomination. "Marilyn was very kind to me," he recalled. "I thought she was magnificent. I never understood why she was not nominated."
