(L-R) Joe Strummer, Terry Chimes, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of The Clash in a car in New York City. October 12, 1982.
STAFF PICK:
The Clash is one of my all time favorite bands and this photo by Bob Gruen has all the elements of cool going on in it. I love the graininess and that it’s slightly out of focus from the moving car to the New York skyline in the background. You can also see them driving around in this sweet Cadillac in the “Should I Stay or Should I Go” video. This black and white the Clash print is signed by the photographer, Bob Gruen.
