I've photographed Dolly Parton twice so far. This photo is from the second time, for her 'Little Sparrow' album. We had already worked together once before, a couple of years before, to great effect. This time was equally good. She understood, and wanted, my grittier style which fit in with the more back-to-her-roots records she was making then. She was super easy to work with and fun to be around and this was a much more relaxed shoot than the first time with almost nobody around. I found a cabin outside of Nashville for us to do the photos at and we shot until long after sunset.
