“I was shooting Motley Crue on the Girls, Girls, Girls tour, and Guns N’ Roses were opening. When I arrived at the venue, the first guy I saw was Steven Adler. “Hey, WEISSGUY!” he yelled at the top of his lungs. I asked Steven if he would talk to the guys and see if I could take some photos as the band came offstage all sweaty. When I walked back into the dressing room after the show, Axl was in a towel and cowboy boots. As I picked up my camera he gave me the middle finger. This photo ended up on the cover of my book THE DECADE THAT ROCKED, released in 2020.” — Mark “WEISSGUY” Weiss

“Mark made all those moments that weren’t so pretty look pretty. He had that magic touch. Like Guns N’ Roses did when the five of us were together. We could do no wrong. And Mark had that same magic. He always knew the exact moment to push the button.” — Steven Adler, Guns N' Roses
