Born in London April 5, 1946 Jane Asher, went on to be one of the United Kingdom's better actors, becoming a sixties icon.

On April 18, 1963, the 17-year-old Asher met Paul McCartney at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and began a five-year relationship with him.

In December 1963, McCartney took up residence at Asher's family Wimpole Street townhouse and stayed there until the couple moved into McCartney's own home in St John's Wood in 1966.

McCartney wrote several Beatles songs inspired by her, including "And I Love Her", "You Won't See Me", "I'm Looking Through You", "What You’re Doing", "For No One" and the gorgeous "Here There and Everywhere."
