Taken in 1966 for a Christmas issue, 12 Life photographers were given an assignment to do nudes.
This image of Lauren Hutton was actually photographed on a black background. Milton also created a master negative from a photograph of a lit burlap scrim. Taking both negatives and sandwiching them together, a process was done that created a dye transfer print.
Lauren, who was only 18 years old at the time, was very hesitant in doing a nude photograph, but Milton promised it would be done elegantly.
