Cheech & Chong (bed) The Plaza Hotel, NYC, 1981

“I was on assignment to shoot Cheech & Chong for US Weekly and they sent me to the hotel they were staying at in New York. As soon as I got off the elevator I smelled reefer. As I approached their door the smell got stronger. “Hey, come on in,” they said, and handed me a joint. They were very cool. We had a lot of fun shooting at The Plaza Hotel. I asked them if they could do “Ralph and Ernie,” a comedy bit that went over big with me. We wrecked the hotel room and then I asked them to take off their pants and get on the bed and do the routine. They were good sports.” — Mark “WEISSGUY” Weiss
