Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam catching air at Wrigley Field in 2016, photographed by Danny Clinch. Pearl Jam played two sold-out nights at the Chicago ballpark, on August 20 and 22, 2016, in the middle of the Cubs' World Series championship season. Chicago is Vedder's hometown.
Clinch filmed both concerts for Let's Play Two, the documentary and live soundtrack released in September 2017, which explores the band's ties to Chicago and the Cubs. His relationship with Pearl Jam runs deep: he directed the 2007 live film Immagine in Cornice, documenting the band's 2006 tour of Italy, made a range of their press films, and created content for the 2013 album Lightning Bolt, including the music video for "Mind Your Manners." Few photographers have spent as much time this close to the band on stage.
