“I took this photo of Jon stretching before Bon Jovi took the stage at Farm Aid, at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, IL on September 22, 1985. I was touring with the band for their 7800° Fahrenheit Tour. Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and John Cougar Mellencamp all had eyes on Bon Jovi when they took the stage. After the show Jon had me wrangle up the guys to take photos with the band by their tour bus. The following year I photographed the cover image for Bon Jovi’s breakthrough album, Slippery When Wet, which sold over 16 million copies worldwide.” — Mark “WEISSGUY” Weiss
