In 1969 The Rolling Stones rented Peter Tork's house in Laurel Canyon a few months after Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young rented it to rehearse for Woodstock. A music publisher sent Henry Diltz up there one afternoon to take a group shot, but the Stones were all asleep. Eventually they woke up and had breakfast just before night fell, making it too dark to take the picture. (Henry didn't use flash then.)
