Kurt Cobain, Truck, Nirvana, Cambridge, MA, 1990
ABOUT THIS PIECE
Nirvana had borrowed a van, called the 'Melvan' because it was owned by friend band, the Melvins, for this tour in 1990. I was driving Kurt around, probably just hanging out. He was holding a cross up in front of things and taking pictures with the point and shoot camera he is holding in the other hand. I took a photo of him, and he took one of me. You can see it in Charles Cross’s book, Cobain Unseen. -- JJ Gonson
