January 1988 saw a very special class of inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with The Beach Boys joining Bob Dylan, The Drifters, and The Beatles in a star-studded class. Inducted by none other than Elton John who said "They are what Americas is, a very wonderful place". The band (Mike Love, Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston) were then joined on stage by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, George Harrison, Mick Jagger and many others as they performed Barbara Ann.
