ABOUT THIS PIECE

An exclusive limited edition of 10 prints personally signed by Mike Love, Brian Wilson and Al Jardine. To celebrate the 60 years of The Beach Boys.

The signing took place in August and September 2022. Taken at the legendary shoot at San Diego Zoo on February 10th, 1966 by George Jerman for the timeless Pet Sounds album. This shot from the famous sequence in the petting zoo with the goats that produced the cover for the original album is an unreleased outtake. This shoot was a conscious effort to reflect the style of the mid 60s with the clean cut hairlines and striped shirts, giving way to more contemporary clothes and hairstyles that reflected the band's evolution beyond just surfing music and embracing the emerging California music sound that they had spawned.
