Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, & George Jones at Bradleys Barn, Mount Juliet, Tennesee, 1994
The melodic harmony of three of the greatest voices in country music, Dolly Parton, George Jones and Emmylou Harris resonated through Owen Bradley’s famous recording studio in Mount Juliet, TN on February 16, 1994. The song they practiced and recorded for George Jones’ album, The Bradley Barn Sessions, was “Where Grass Won’t Grow”. Producer Brian Ahern had planned for Linda Ronstadt to be recorded on the song as well. When Ronstadt couldn’t make the session, Trisha Yearwood took her place and added her voice to the recording that was released on Jones’ Bradley Barn Sessions album.
