ABOUT THIS PIECE

John Lennon and George Harrison were celebrating at Club Dell'Aretusa before the opening of Apple Tailoring in the King's Road. There were press photographers, journalists and all those trendy fab gear people that usually cropped up at these sort of parties, and me. The first picture I made that afternoon is this wide angled photograph of George Harrison at a table with his wife Patti, Judith Simons (pop journalist) and maybe the manager of the Apple Boutique. Get outta my bloody chair, came this well known voice from behind me as I perched, but not settled, upon the edge of an empty chair to get the photograph, “Steady on John”, said George kindly.John had arrived with a date, Yoko Ono, but I didn’t take a picture because he was married. I deplore paparazzi. John asked me to take some pictures for him a bit later.
